TThe Ranbir and Alia starrer adventure flick directed by Ayan Mukherji is speculated to beat Aamir Khan’s Dangal Collection in South India.

The Telugu version of Brahmastra got the stamp of approval from director SS Rajamouli, who is India’s first director to deliver back-to-back movies that earned more than Rs 1000 crore globally from ticket sales. And Rajamouli has been promoting Brahmastra as one of his own.

The mangnum-opus is expected to dispel the dry spell for Bollywood films in the recent times. As for the pre-booking, the movie has minted a phenomenal sum. According to latest reports, the movie has already seen ticket bookings over Rs 23 crore in advance.

Almost half of the amount quoted is coming from the advance booking of the first day of its release. Trade experts predict the film will have an exceptional opening on the first day of the release itself.

So far, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ has the record for the most advance booking with Rs 80 crore across languages. According to a film business tracking portal, ‘Brahmastra’s’ Hindi version has reportedly clocked Rs 22. 25 crores for its opening weekend precisely.

Brahmastra has a huge star cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna. And it reportedly has a cameo appearance by Shah Rukh Khan. This is the biggest Hindi film, in terms of its star value and the production cost (Rs 400 crore), to come out in a long time
