It’s been a week since Sooryavanshi debuted in theatres, but the film’s box office success remains unstoppable. The Akshay Kumar film has topped the 125 crore milestone at the box office in only 8 days. This happened after the company became the first in the COVID-19 period to reach the Rs 100 crore milestone. If the hype surrounding the film remains strong over the weekend, the film might break the 150 crore mark.

According to trade expert Taran Adarsh, Sooryavanshi has stayed strong at the box office, earning 6.83 crores on Friday. He went on to say that Maharashtra and Gujarat were the two states that contributed the most to the collection. It was also reported that a double-digit weekend performance for the film will push it above the 150 crore mark. In its first week, the film grossed Rs 120 crores. The Rohit Shetty-directed film is also doing well in other countries. It made 37.22 crores in its first week at the box office.

After several huge films elected to release on Over-The-Top, the ones that did enter the theatres could not live up to the expectations, the picture is being looked at as a ray of hope for the theatre business. Other cop characters from Rohit Shetty films Singham and Simmba, portrayed by Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, respectively, make cameo appearances in the film. Other actors in the film include Gulshan Grover, Jackie Shroff, Nikitin Dheer, Abhimanyu Singh, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Sikandar Kher.
