To her latest possession Shruti Haasan added a house in Chennai. Haassan for her latest purchase performed a traditional grihapravesh puja and shared glimpse. What caught an eye was the absence of her family members. Neither her father, Kamal Haasan, nor her sister, Akshara Haasan, and her mother Sarika were seen in the photographs shared by the team. Their absence in an important personal milestone has sparked curiosity amongst fans. Although Kamal Haasan and Sarika separated many years ago, Shruti has maintained a close relationship with her sibling and father.

The new apartment also reflects Shruti’s desire to have a home of her own in Chennai, separate from her family’s properties in the city. The ceremony looked like a private affair with close friends and loved ones in attendance.

Shruthi was decked up in a simple traditional outfit with minimal jewelry as she performed the rituals. Photos shared showed her sitting on the floor during the Puja with sweets made for the occasion and the keys to her new apartment.

Known for her unique sense of style and artsy living the new space is probably designed keeping in mind her taste. Her artistic inclinations were seen at the decor in her Mumbai apartment where there is no dearth of musical instruments, books, art pieces and Gothic decorations. Fans are now eager to see how she would decorate her new house in Chennai.

At the work front, she will be seen in Train, directed by Mysskin alongside Vijay Sethupathi. She also has ”Aakasamlo Oka Tara’ in the pipeline along with several music commitments.
