The 2026 Met Gala would have been an investigation into the relationship between fashion and fine art, the “girlies” showed up on the carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art fully intending to be the piece of art. With the 2026 Met Gala focusing on the relationship between “Fashion is Art,” it was clear from the start that the trend of the night was all about structure, with celebs foregoing delicate dresses in favor of bold, avant-garde silhouettes.
Taking first prize in the transformation department was Kylie Jenner, who yet again showed that she is one of the masters of the red carpet shaved her one eyebrow for the look. Arriving at the steps clad in a Schiaparelli look by designer Daniel Roseberry, Kylie once again channeled the house’s surrealist roots. Wearing a dress in the most luxurious shade of cream, Kylie wore an anatomical golden corset which was so precise, it even came complete with a “bespoke” belly button.
Karan Johar made his Met Gala debut. Attending the prestigious event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, he represented India on the global platform. Besides Manish Malhotra, Karan was the only Indian film personality to grace the event. Johar shared pictures from his Met Gala appearance on Instagram.
Kim Kardashian made a metal orange friend of herself for the night. She power walked with her mother, Kris Jenner in tow, opting for a rather pointed outfit at this year’s gala.
Gigi Hadid proved that once again with a daunting look of her own. Going for a see-through shimmery gown with black and silver detailing, she let her figure do the talking for this one.
Hailey Bieber, chose a less dramatic look for the night, but made a move nonetheless. She appeared in a golden corset that seemed to be custom-made for her, with a blue gown attached to it. Her hair slicked back in a bun, Mrs Bieber ensured that it got people talking.
