Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate carried out raids in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chandigarh, and Bangalore in relation to the illegal sale of tickets for Diljit Dosanjh’s Dilluminati concert and Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour.

According to reports, ticketing partners BookMyShow and Zomato Live allegedly engaged in black marketing when they sold out of tickets for both concerts in a matter of minutes. Several allegations of illegal ticket sales and ticket resale at inflated prices were also received. In this regard, several FIRs have been filed across many states.

On October 25, the Enforcement Directorate launched an investigation into the money laundering angle and carried out raids at over 13 locations across five cities. Incriminating items such as SIM cards, laptops, and cell phones were seized during the raid. The investigation also discovered that Telegram, WhatsApp, and Instagram were being used to sell fake tickets.

According to the statement, the searches were conducted in order to look into ticket sales that were not authorized, financial networks that were involved in these scams, and the tracking of criminal proceeds that were obtained from these illicit activities.

Mumbai is scheduled to host the Coldplay concert on January 18, 19, and 21, 2025. On October 26 and 27, Diljit Dosanjh’s Dilluminati India tour will start in Delhi. Before ending his tour in Guwahati on December 29, he will next travel to a number of cities, including Jaipur on November 2, Hyderabad on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 17, and Lucknow on November 22.
