Mumbai: Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi reportedly appeared before the National Commission for Women on Thursday (April 7). The matter is said to be related to the controversy surrounding the lyrics of a song titled “Sarke Chunar” from her upcoming film “KD the Devil.” According to sources, the NCW issued a summons to her in this matter, following which she appeared before the commission. During the meeting, the actress also issued a written apology for the alleged controversy. It is also reported that she has agreed to bear the educational expenses of some orphan children as part of her social responsibility.

According to sources, the actress briefly addressed the matter, saying that she understands her responsibility as an artist and has issued a written apology following the controversy. “As an artist, I have fulfilled my responsibility and apologized. I had no intention of hurting anyone,” Nora Fatehi said. She also revealed that she has decided to fund the education of some orphaned girls as part of her social responsibility.

KD the Devil: The Film

The film “KD the Devil” is in the news for the alleged controversial song “Sarke Chunar.” Originally a Kannada-language project, the film has been dubbed into four other languages, including Hindi. According to reports, the Hindi version of the song was released on YouTube on March 15th, sparking a sharp reaction on social media regarding its filming and lyrics.

Many viewers expressed their objection and protested. Following the controversy, the makers removed the song from YouTube, although it remained available on some other digital platforms. The film’s lyricist, singer, and director have also reportedly apologized for the incident.
