Mumbai: People have been waiting for the movie Kerala Story for a long time, and it finally got released on May 5. Vipul Shah directed this movie, and it suffered severe backlashes after its trailer got released in April. The Muslim community representative took this matter to the Supreme Court to stop this movie from being released.
However, the Supreme Court didn’t find anything wrong about the movie which could stop it from the release. Therefore, the plea by the Muslim community representative, Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind, was denied, and the movie was released on 5 May. The movie features Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, Siddhi Idnani, Vijay Krishna, Pranay Pachauri, and Pranav Mishra as the lead actors. It depicts the story of three women who fell in the case of love jihad in Kerala.
It has been just a day since the movie’s release, and fans have taken to Twitter to praise the movie and the work done by the team. This movie tells the story of approximately 32 thousand women in Kerala who fell victim to love jihad and ended up overseas being converted to Islam.
The director of the film, Vipul Shah, said “The film is an amalgamation of years of research and true stories which have never been dared to be told before. It will uncover many hidden truths that have been hidden for long. It will uncover the dangerous threat radicalization poses to the women of our nation and will create awareness about this conspiracy being hatched against India.”
