The first glimpse of Shraddha Kapoor upcoming film ‘Eetha’ leaked online even before its official release. The audiences got the first look at the film alongside the theatrical screenings of Cocktail 2. While the makers haven’t released the official trailer, a shot clip that was recorded in the cinema was released online.
The clip shows Shraddha Kapoor in an intense scene playing legendary Marathi Tamasha artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar. In the scene, the female actor appears to be heavily pregnant and is seen going into the labour while preparing for a stage performance. The background voiceover reveals a heated argument where the character is expected to return to the stage immediately after childbirth.
Videos of the clip feature in the theatres has been making rounds on the social media where it has received enthusiastic response from the audience. Loud cheers, applause, and whistles could be heard as the glimpse unfolded on the big screen, with many fans praising Shraddha Kapoor’s intense screen presence and dramatic makeover.
The leak has increased curiosity among the fans which marks one of the challenging roles for Shraddha through out her career. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Eetha chronicles the life and journey of Vithabai Narayangaonkar, one of Maharashtra’s most celebrated Tamasha performers.
