Naagin 7, an Indian TV franchise from the supernatural genre, which was directed by Ektaa Kapoor and stars Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, has become the talk of social media after an enormous mistake in its latest episode editing, making the production process quite evident. Although such TV shows heavily use visuals effects (VFX), the viewers managed to witness one of the shooting days of the show.

In the episode released on Sunday, May 3, one particular scene that was designed to present Choudhary’s character Ahana fighting her opponents unintentionally displayed all the elements that are used when shooting the episode, including the visible blue screen background and the wires hanging down. What is more, actors were even seen lying on the floor before their lines.
The mistake became evident for the show’s subscribers, who had been watching Naagin 7 via the JioHotstar app; it is worth mentioning that the mistake could not be seen on the television version of the program. Critics and fans alike pounced at the chance to take jibes at the “lazy” production. In one particularly popular viral meme, they joked, “Iss waale shot pe prompt daalna bhul gaye or Gemini ka free limit khatam ho gaya hoga” (They forgot to prompt this shot, or the free quota limit of Gemini AI is finished). They also made fun of the blue color dominance by suggesting the show was crossing over with Avatar. This isn’t the first time that Naagin 7 has been receiving backlash for its technical shortcomings.
Back in January, the show received backlash for its use of excessive yet “weak” AI imagery when it comes to dragon vs dragon confrontation. The hate was addressed by Ektaa Kapoor on her Instagram stories where she jokingly said her writers wanted “dragons and planes with no budget”. With the season finale being scheduled for June 7, there is a lot more pressure on the production team to continue making the “Naagin legacy”.
