After a blockbuster opening weekend, Awarapan 2 is continuing its dazzling career, making it a great first Monday. India’s net collection of the sequel to the 2007 film crossed Rs 90 crore mark.

Trade tracker Sacnilk data shows that Awarapan 2 grossed Rs 9.25 crore net in day 1 in India alone on day 4, and had 10,849 shows. In total it has now gathered Rs 91 crore from India and India’s gross collection now stands at Rs 109.02 crore.

The movie has also done quite well overseas. It posted Rs 2.50 crore on Monday, adding to its gross collection of Rs 21.80 crore overseas. This means that the gross of the movie in the worldwide box office stands at Rs 130.82 crore now.

Awarapan 2 has opened at an impressive level, grossing Rs 22 crores in its opening day with the 9,033 screens. The movie had a massive growth on Saturday with nightly box office collections of Rs 33.75 crore in nightly shows of 10,496. It earned another Rs 26 crore from 9,403 shows on Sunday.

The first four days have, therefore given the Emraan Hashmi starrer, a good lift at the box-office. The film has already made Rs 90 crore net in India and performance on weekdays will be a key factor as to how far it can go.

Awarapan 2’s opening weekend was strong, indicating that the movie has gotten audiences’ attention beyond Sunday and Monday and is in a favorable position for its debut week.
