Anirudh Ravichander and Kavya Maran to get married; Invite PM Modi,Telangana CM and Tamil Nadu CM to the reception
Renowned Southern musician Anirudh Ravichander is all set to marry his longtime girlfriend Kavya Maran in November, confirmed Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Taking to the CMO’s official X handle, officials shared photos and videos of Revanth Reddy with Kavya’s parents, Kalanithi Maran and Kavery Maran. They also revealed that the reception would be held in Chennai on November 21.
The post read, “Sun Group Chairman Shri Kalanithi Maran and his wife, Smt. Kavery Maran, met Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills and invited him to the wedding reception of their daughter, Kavya Maran. The wedding reception of Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander is scheduled to be held in Chennai on November 21.”
As per reports, the duo will get married in Greece on November 11.
Speculations about the duo being a couple broke out in 2025. In June last year, the music director dismissed the rumours and said, “Marriage? Ugh, LOL, chill out guys, please stop spreading rumours.” The rumour began after a post on Reddit claimed the duo had been dating each other for over a year and were considering getting married.
Anirudh, a popular musician, has worked in several major films, including Leo, Indian 2, Vettaiyan, Vidaamuyarchi and Once Upon a Time in Ondru. Kavya Maran, on the other hand, is the daughter of Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran and serves as an executive director at the Sun TV network. She’s also associated with the Indian Premier League team Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Reports of the couple inviting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay have also surfaced on the internet. Sun TV News, the Tamil news network of Sun TV, shared pictures of the meeting on X. The post said Kalanithi Maran met the Prime Minister and presented him with the wedding reception invitation for Kavya and Anirudh. The couple’s family members, along with the composer, were also mentioned in the post. However, Anirudh did not feature in the photos.
The post read, “Invitation Sun TV Group Chairman Kalanithi Maran met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and presented the wedding reception invitation for Kaviya Kalanithi and Anirudh Ravichander. Kavitha’s parents, Lakshmi and Ravichander, were present with Anirudh Ravichander.”
Besides, the channel also shared pictures of Kalanithi Maran meeting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay and inviting him to the reception.
