Manoj Muntashir, the writer of the highly anticipated film ‘Adipurush,’ issued an apology today for offending people’s religious sentiments with his controversial dialogues. Muntashir expressed his heartfelt apologies in a tweet, acknowledging that the film had hurt people’s emotions. He humbly sought forgiveness and invoked the blessings of Lord Hanuman to keep everyone united and grant strength to serve their sacred Sanatan (Hinduism) and their nation.

The film ‘Adipurush,’ directed by Om Raut, is an adaptation of the epic Ramayana and has faced significant criticism following its release. Certain dialogues in the film, such as ‘Marega Bete’ (Son, you will die) and ‘Bua Ka Bagicha Hain Kya’ (Is it your aunt’s garden?), have received backlash from critics and reviewers. In response to the criticism, the filmmakers revised the dialogue.

The controversy surrounding ‘Adipurush’ also led to heightened security concerns for Manoj Muntashir, who requested protection due to perceived threats on his life. The Mumbai Police provided him with security and investigated the matter.

Moreover, the All India Cine Workers Association wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Mumbai Police, demanding the registration of a case against the film’s producer, director, and writer.

The criticism and controversy surrounding ‘Adipurush’ led to a resurgence of interest in the 1987 TV series ‘Ramayan,’ as disappointed audiences drew comparisons between the two adaptations.
