The 70th National Film Awards were declared on 16 Friday, August at 1:30 pm for the Indian film industry for the films certified in 2022. As for the winners, there were numerous successes, and among them, the recognition of Rishabh Shetty as the Best Actor for the performance in Kantara should be mentioned. In this Kannada movie, Shetty plays the role of a village rowdy who learns the real purpose of his life as the protector of the village people. He did a fabulous job as an actor but was also the director of the movie, which has turned out to be the highest-grosser of all time for the Kannada film industry, surpassing KGF Chapter 2.
The Best Actress Award at the 70th National Film Awards was awarded to Nithya Menen for Thiruchitrambalam and Manasi Parekh Kutch Express. This mutual acknowledgment underlines their outstanding performance in various cinema functions.
For the Best Director category, Sooraj R. Barjatya received the trophy for Uunchai with the film combining Bollywood actors such as Amitabh Bachchan. In the music categories, Arijit Singh got the Best Playback Singer award for Brahmastra and Pritam for the Best Music Director for Brahmastra. AR Rahman won Best Background Music for Ponniyin Selvan 2, and Anand Krishnamurthy received the Best Sound Design award for the same film. These awards highlight audio accomplishments in the music and sounds of these films, and they are added to the movie viewing enfolding.
