Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday reviewed the preparations of the upcoming NEET UG re-examination in a meeting held by NTA. Interacting with the media reporters following the meeting, he sought to reassure parents and students about the examination process.
“I want to reassure students and their parents that we will conduct the re-examination without any flaws or loopholes,” the minister told
Urging candidates to remain focused on their preparations, Pradhan said that the government is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent examination process. “I want to reassure them through you: please focus on your studies. We will conduct the re-examination flawlessly, and I ask for your cooperation in this matter,” Pradhan said.
He further informed that the results of the re-examination will be released as early as possible so that the students do not face academic issues.
Meanwhile, the NTA officials have been summoned by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare tomorrow along with the National Medical Commission for the third time. The authorities have been summoned to discuss the conduct of the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled to be held on June 21. The Parliamentary Committee on Health will meet on June 10 afternoon in the Parliament House Annexe. Secretaries of Higher Education and Health along with the representatives of NTA and NMC will provide detailed briefing on the preparations for the NEET re-exam on ‘Conduct of NEET examinations under NMC Act, 2019’.
The Parliamentary Committee for Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports is headed by Congress member Digvijaya Singh.
