The Department of School Education and Literacy along with Ministry of Education has launched a pan India “Green Summer Camps” program under the ‘Eco Clubs for Mission LIFE’ a campaign that marked the world environment day.
Running from June 5 to 30, the schools under this initiative have been directed to organize experiential environmental activities mapped to the 7 Mission LIFE themes. Taking to social media, the ministry said, ” As part of these Green Summer Camps, schools across the nation are encouraged to undertake activities aligned with the seven themes of Mission LIFE-Adopt Healthy Lifestyle, Adopt Sustainable Food Systems, Reduce E-Waste, Reduce Waste, Save Energy, Save Water and Say No to Single Use Plastic”.
