The Central Board of Secondary education as per record is likely to declare the results for Class 10 Second board exams anytime in this week. As of July 6th, the board has not confirmed that date and time of the declaration of the result.

Students who appeared for the exam will be able to check their results on official platforms like cbse.gov.in, cbse.nic.in. Besides these portals like DigiLocker and Umang have also tied up with to board to publish results. Students can check their result on results.digilocker.gov.in, and umang.gov.in, once it is released. Besides websites, the Digilocker app will also help students in checking their results.

This year more than 6 lakh students appeared for the Phase 2 exams conducted in May, out of the 24 lakh that appeared for the main exam. Of the total, 5 lakhs as per application as said to have appeared for improvement while the remaining 1 lakh took the compartment exam.

The Class 10 Second Board Examination was conducted from May 15, 2026 to May 21, 2026 under CBSE’s newly introduced two-board-examination system. The examination system was revamped to provide eligible students with an opportunity to improve their scores during the same academic sessions while compartment candidates were also permitted to appear under the prescribed eligibility criteria. 

The board will prepare the final result by following the best-of-two policy. Under this system, the higher marks secured by an eligible student in either the first board examination or the second board examination will be considered while preparing the final result. Those seeking improvement in up to 3 subjects were eligible for the second chance. Candidates placed in the Essential Repeat category, as well as those who failed or remained absent in three or more subjects, were not eligible.
