Police spontaneously proceeded to Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida on discovering that a woman was found dead in the water tank on Monday. According to early investigations, it appears she was the wife of one of the residents who had her mother-in-law living with them. The fact that the woman’s husband is nowhere to be found and authorities have been chasing him for murder instigates the assumption that the husband’s mother is also involved in the case. The husband then flees the scene as the police are approaching. The husband was employed at JIMS hospital, the Greater Noida branch.

Neighbors alerted police to the fact that the couple were involved in regular fights, one of which on Sunday night was very noisy, meaning the woman’s killing on Monday night did not take by surprise the residents. A manhunt is ongoing for the husband and his mother right now.

The woman’s family lodged a complaint with the police, which led to the formation of search parties made up of the relevant authorities. The corpse of the woman who was drowned in the water tank cemented on Monday was brought to the laboratory and forensically examined. Senior officer Shivhari Meena had vowed to approach the matter with utmost furiousness and inquietude.

One incident that happened in Gautam Buddha Nagar a few months ago horrified the population as a 20-year-old man was inhumanly murdered by his friends, who dug a six-foot hole and buried him in one of the farms. Those murderers found a clever way to mislead the authorities and the victim’s family members by sending ransom messages, which were received on February 27, and eventually choked the victim to death.
