New Delhi: In a harrowing incident, a group of four unidentified individuals reportedly carried out a robbery at a store in Rohini, making off with all the store’s precious jewelry and gold bars. The assailants allegedly brandished weapons and threatened both the owner and a store employee during the heist. According to the police, this incident unfolded on a Friday night, prompting the case to be transferred to the Crime Branch, who are actively pursuing the culprits.

The complainant, Praveen Gupta, 48 years old and co-owner of the store alongside his father, recounted the terrifying ordeal. He stated that at approximately 7 pm, four helmeted and masked men entered the shop. They followed him into his office, forcibly locked him inside, and menacingly warned him of dire consequences.

Gupta’s grievance further detailed, “They took all the jewelry pieces on display. My employee informed me that the assailants also stole my car keys, my mobile phone, Rs 75,000 in cash, and gold bars.” He added that he is yet to ascertain the total value of the stolen items.

A senior officer from the Crime Branch indicated that the investigators are meticulously reviewing surveillance footage, with suspicions leaning towards the potential involvement of someone familiar with the premises or possibly an employee. As the investigation unfolds, the authorities are leaving no stone unturned to apprehend the perpetrators and recover the stolen valuables, offering a glimmer of hope for the victims of this daring robbery.
