The HDFC Asset Management Company reportedly detected a cybersecurity incident over the weekend sources report. The cyber threat is said to have been contained, sources added.
The breach reported Saturday was immediately contained following safety measures in place designated to isolate and mitigate the potential cyber risk. A specialist cyber security firm has been deployed to conduct detailed assessment and determine the possible impact of the breach, they added.
Sources in the know asserted that there has been no impact on the operations, indicating that investor services, fund management activities and other critical functions remain operational. There is no information whether or not customer data was compromised. Further no details of the timeline for completing the forensic review being carried out by the external cybersecurity experts.
