Indore. Jawad Siddiqui, chairman of Al Falah University, who has been implicated in the Delhi bombings, has deep ties to Mhow in Indore district. According to reports, Jawad Siddiqui was originally from Mhow and left Mhow with his family about 25 years ago.

Police said they conducted inspections in the university throughout the day on Tuesday and questioned several people. On Monday evening, a high-intensity blast ripped through an explosive-laden car near Delhi’s Red Fort metro station, killing 12 people and injuring several others. Pulwama-based doctor Mohammad Umar Nabi, who was suspected to have been behind the wheels of the Hyundai i20, was an assistant professor at Al-Falah University.

Earlier on Monday, authorities arrested eight individuals, including three doctors associated with the university, and seized 2,900 kilograms of explosives linked to a terror module involving Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, with operations spanning Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Among those arrested was Dr Muzammil Ganaie, a faculty member at Al-Falah University.

According to sources, Jawad’s brother has also been charged with fraud in Mhow. Following Jawad Siddiqui’s name being linked to the Delhi bombings, the Mhow police have begun investigating his past records.

According to local sources, the police are now investigating Jawad’s family and business connections to find out if any of his old networks or contacts in Mhow are linked to this case.
