Damoh: The Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh has taken important action against fake teachers. Under the direction of District Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar, the DEO has brought up the case of 24 teachers in government schools hired using bogus educational backgrounds and has suggested FIRs in these cases.

The letter has been sent to the primary office of the Superintendent of Police. As a result, officials are now taking steps to sue the people found to be fake teachers. In the officials’ words, out of the 40 complaints received, all of them claim that individuals got government teaching jobs by showing fake mark sheets and certificates.

By conducting investigations, it was found that in 24 cases out of the 40, the mark sheets provided had been forged. Sixteen more complaints are yet to be completed. Besides, 11 cases are currently being looked into by the Joint Director of Public Instruction, Sagar Division.

The District Collector Kochar confirmed that over the past few months, the administration had received many complaints regarding a bigger issue of fake appointments in the local education sector. According to him, various government school teachers were accused of using false diplomas to be hired, so a serious check was carried out to ensure the documents were true.

The district administration promises to deal with strict measures against those found at fault. It is believed that additional teachers continue to be employed with doctored documents, and investigations are ongoing on further. It is anticipated that the crackdown will strongly deter any kind of corruption or misuse happening in the education department. Authorities are trying to make the hiring process clear, fair, and regain public trust in education.
