Actress turned politician Kangana Ranaut is once again making news for her confrontational as well as articulate stand as the tension between India and Pakistan escalates. Famous for not fearing to voice her political opinions, Kangana has ignited controversies airing a sizzling criticism of Pakistan through her social media. An ISIS-flooded country during the conflict, she used her Instagram Stories to label Pakistan as “a vile nation full of terrorists”, and even went so far as to suggest they should be “wiped off the world map”.

Kangana reported on a news report that claimed Pakistan had a hand in the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Pakistan was questioned at the United Nations Security Council over its role in the attack, according to the report. Angry Kangana reposted the article and added a fierce caption: “Bloody cockroach… horrifying, vile country of terrorists … should be wiped off the earth map.”

Her words have generated a great deal of heat online, with her patriots showering her with praise, while her critics call her out for inciting tensions. However, Kangana still insists on her nationalist register, showing how she went from Bollywood actress to firebrand Member of Parliament.

In contrast to this, Singer Shreya Ghoshal pursued a more sensitive method of addressing the problem that had been brewing. She issued news about the delayed hosting of her highly anticipated Mumbai Concert, already planned to be staged in Mumbai on May 10 at Jio World Garden under her All Hearts tour.

On Instagram, Shreya posted, “With a heavy heart, I want to tell my fans that my Mumbai concert will be postponed because of what is happening right now in our dear country.”

Making a point that her duty, as well as an artist and a citizen, she said, “This is not a cancellation, just a postponement. I will come back with even more love and energy when it’s time comes.”
