Four people died, and around seven others were injured when a speeding truck rammed into a Bolero in Surguja in Chhattisgarh, according to a tragic road accident. The victims were on the way back after visiting Kilikila Shiv Temple for the Mahashivaratri celebrations. The accident occurred near Vishunpur Plant at the center of National Highway 43, which is a key road in the region. There were more than 11 passengers inside the Bolero, which was so severely damaged by the collision that it was left almost totally destroyed.
The group of devotees was on their way to their village from the temple and included a child among the victims. It was a devastating impact, which took the lives of four people and caused serious injuries to seven others. However, other passengers of the vehicle were slightly hurt.
After the incident, the local administration offered an immediate response and took the injured to the hospital immediately. Expressing deep sorrow over the accident, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also extended his condolences to the families of the victims. CM Sai tweeted: “I am deeply saddened by the news of a road accident in Surguja district’s Sitapur area in which a Bolero and a container truck have met with an accident. The loss of four lives and six people partially injured. I have instructed the administration to ensure the best medical care for the injured, who have been admitted promptly to the hospital to treat them.”
As prayers were offered for the departed souls and envoiced for the recovery of the injured and alleviation for the grieved families, the Chief Minister wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. In order for similar cases to be avoided in the future, the administration should facilitate support to victims and provide the necessary support that can prevent such incidents from reoccurring.
