Mawra Hocane and Harshvardhan Rane-starrer Sanam Teri Kasam was re-released in theaters today. The film was originally released in 2016. The makers of this romantic drama, which has already gained cult status among cinema lovers, especially the young generation, announced its re-release.
The film returned on Rose Day, the first day of Valentine’s Week, nine years after it was first released. The positive reaction it is getting from advance booking surprised everyone.
Sanam Teri Kasam’s re-release sold 67k tickets
More than 67,000 tickets have already been sold through advance booking for the film’s February 7 re-release in theaters. By noon yesterday, 20,000 tickets had been sold for the film, and by the end of the day, almost 47,000 more had been sold.
With these remarkable figures, the film is anticipated to make around Rs 2 crore on its first day of re-release, which is twice as much as it made on its first day of release in 2016. However, Loveyapa, the recently released Badass Ravi Kumar, and another re-release of the 2014 Hollywood film Interstellar will be the film’s competitors in Hindi markets.
Fans who missed the theatrical release of the iconic film ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ and were able to watch it only on YouTube or OTT can head to the theaters to relive the tragic love story of Inder and Saru.
