Helicopter service will soon be started by Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board in Mahakumbh, the trial of which has already been done. Devotees will get to know the rich natural heritage of the state along with viewing Mahakumbh from the heights of the sky. A helicopter is already being operated to give the devotees the pleasure of joy ride in Mahakumbh.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said that no stone will be left unturned to take eco-tourism to the peak in the state. Keeping in view the interest of tourists, the Eco Tourism Development Board has signed an agreement. This service will be operated from the heliport located near the Boat Club in Mahakumbh Nagar. Tourists will visit for 7-8 minutes for Rs 1296. Its booking can be done from the board’s website www.upecoboard.in. Along with flying in the helicopter, tourists will be informed about the important eco sites of the state through various mediums.
The Tourism Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is as important in terms of religious and spiritual aspects as it is in terms of natural aspects. Sonbhadra, known as the Switzerland of India, has many attractions like the 1400 million years old Salkhan Fossils Park. There are many attractions including Rani Tiger Reserve, Dudhwa National Park, Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, and Pilibhit Tiger Reserve which are located at a short distance from the pilgrimage city. All these attractions are being displayed in the exhibition set up by the Eco Tourism Board in Maha Kumbh in an area of 3250 square feet, so that tourists are attracted to visit these places as well.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said that we are constantly trying to provide good connectivity to tourist places. In this sequence, the Tourism Development Board is operating a heli service from Lucknow to Dudhwa National Park. Tourists can reach Dudhwa from Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport Lucknow for Rs 5000.

Eco-tourism selfie points, virtual reality dome, ecotourism destinations and the work being done by the Ecotourism Development Board will be presented to the visitors in the exhibition.
