Raipur: The officials in the Chhattisgarh Police Department have released 341 vacancies for Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander. It may also be stated that the recruitment examination to join the SI posts is being held through the CGPSC for the first time. First of all, the applications were accessible online from October 23 to November 21, 2024. However, the ST candidates were permitted later, following a cabinet decision, to be given concessions in height and chest measurement. The remaining vacancies are 19 Subedars, 11 Sub-Inspectors (Special Branch, 14 Platoon Commanders, 4 Sub-Inspectors (Fingerprint), 1 Sub-Inspector (Questioned Documents), 5 Sub-Inspectors (Computer), 9 Sub-Inspectors (Cyber Crime).
The basic educational experience of the applicants for Subedar, SI, SI (Special Branch), and Platoon Commander positions requires graduation in any subject. The SI (Fingerprint) and SI (Questioned Documents) require a B.Sc. or equivalent in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in order to participate. Likewise, applicants applying for SI (Computer) and SI (Cyber Crime) must possess a BCA, B.Sc. in Computer Science or any other relevant Degree.
This recruitment exercise will serve to add fresh blood to the force as well as fill some technical and nontechnical positions.
