New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on Wednesday that the Modi government is dedicated to establishing a zero-tolerance policy that will end terrorism in India.
Mr. Shah added that in order to enhance Bharat’s security base, a two-day anti-terror conference that starts here on Thursday will improve agency coordination even more. “The Modi government is committed to building a terror-free India with its policy of zero tolerance,” he wrote on ‘X’.
An official statement stated that the government, led by Prime Minister Modi, is dedicated to eliminating the threat of terrorism by enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against it.
Over the past few years, the annual conference has been a meeting point for operational forces, technical, legal, and forensic experts, and counter-terrorism agencies to discuss issues affecting national security and threats posed by terrorism.
According to the statement, the conference’s main goals are to create ways for coordinated action against the threat of terrorism in the spirit of the “Whole of the Government approach” and to provide significant input for future policy formulation.
The conference’s discussions and deliberations will center on a number of significant issues, such as prosecution, the changing legal landscape in counterterrorism investigations, and the exchange of best practices and experiences.
According to the statement, senior police officers from states and UTs, officers from central agencies and departments handling counterterrorism-related matters, and specialists from related fields like law, forensics, and technology will all be present at the conference.
