Bhopal: Since the initiation of PM Surya Ghar Yojana, people have shown great interest in installing solar panels. After the start of this scheme in February, in just six months, 15 thousand 142 people of the state have installed panels.
Among these, Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company has connected the maximum number of nine thousand consumers to the scheme. Among these, a maximum 2500 houses in Bhopal are getting electricity from panels. Now consumers are also adopting it as an alternative to expensive electricity. Let us tell you that all
three electricity companies of the state are running campaigns and encouraging people for this. If this trend continues, then in a few months more than 40 megawatts of electricity will start getting generated from the sun in the state.
PM Surya Ghar Yojana
The PM Surya Ghar Yojana, a transformative initiative launched by the Indian government, aims to illuminate homes across the country with the power of the sun. This ambitious project seeks to make solar energy accessible and affordable to all, especially those residing in rural areas and marginalized communities. By promoting solar-powered rooftops, the government aims to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, mitigate climate change, and provide a clean, sustainable source of energy for millions of households.
Under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, the government offers various subsidies and incentives to encourage individuals to install solar panels on their homes. These incentives include financial assistance, tax benefits, and easy financing options. Additionally, the government is investing in developing the solar energy infrastructure, including manufacturing facilities and distribution networks, to ensure the widespread availability and affordability of solar panels.
Farmers are also installing large solar panels in their fields. For this, a contract is being signed with the Energy Development Corporation under the Kusum Yojana. Companies will buy the electricity produced from these panels and farmers will be given money according to the unit.
