Mumbai: The Bollywood couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone entered a new phase of their life as they welcomed their first child, a baby girl today. They welcomed their newborn at HN Reliance hospital in Mumbai.
On Sunday, the couple along with their family members were seen arriving at the hospital. The photographers were unable to click their pictures as they sat inside their curtained car. Their spotting was soon followed by the arrival of their family members.
The arrival of the baby comes just days after the new parents were spotted seeking blessings at Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai on Friday. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have announced they are expecting their first child on 29 February 2024. The couple shared a simple post with the due date – September 2024 – and baby-related icons. No caption was needed except a string of emojis. The comments thread on Deepika’s post exploded instantly. Her Chhapaak co-star Vikrant Massey wrote, “Bahut bahut shubhkamnaen.”
Later in June, Deepika attended the pre-release event of Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, which took place in Mumbai. For the event, she chose a black, form-fitting dress with a slit in the back. The actor completed the look with high heels and jewelry. After pictures and videos from the event surfaced on social media, many criticized Deepika for choosing to wear heels during pregnancy.
