On Monday, the Punjab Police launched the ‘Kaso Operation’ to crack down on drug traffickers. Under the leadership of IG Ferozepur Range, Inderbir Singh, a search operation was conducted in Moga. Approximately 300 police personnel conducted checks at various locations in the district.

The search campaign specifically targeted areas like Sadh Wala Basti and Indra Colony in Moga. IG Inderbir Singh informed that the search operation commenced at 8 AM and continued until 2 PM. During the operation, the police seized intoxicating substances, heroin, stolen motorcycles, and illicit liquor.

In an appeal to the public, IG Inderbir Singh urged cooperation in the fight against narcotics. He encouraged citizens to provide information to the police, emphasizing that such cooperation could lead to significant actions against drug traffickers. The police, he stated, have already taken substantial measures by confiscating narcotics and illegal items.

IG Inderbir Singh stressed the importance of community involvement in curbing the drug menace. He requested the public to share information, enabling the police to take stringent actions against drug peddlers and ensuring the safety of the community. Additionally, he highlighted the police’s efforts to extricate the youth from the clutches of addiction, emphasizing initiatives to engage them in sports and other positive activities.
