Bhopal: The cold winds coming from the north in Madhya Pradesh have increased the cold in the state including the capital Bhopal. Saturday night was the coldest night of the season with a minimum temperature of 11.9 degrees. Whereas in hill station Pachmarhi the minimum temperature was recorded at 7.8 degrees.
The cold winds coming from North India have increased the shivering in the entire state. On Sunday, a drop of one to two degrees Celsius was observed in the night temperature in the cities of the state. In the same sequence, the lowest temperature of 10.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Chhindwara.
The temperature of hill station Pachmarhi reached 7.8 degrees Celsius. Along with this, the minimum temperature was recorded below 15 degrees Celsius in 26 cities of the state. The minimum temperature recorded in the capital Bhopal was 11.9 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest this season.
According to the Meteorological Department, no weather system is currently active. Due to the northerly direction of the winds, a drop in night temperature is being observed. Due to this the cold has increased. At the same time, there are chances of further increase in shivering in a day or two. The scientist of the Meteorological Center said that the Michong storm is over. The western disturbance formed in the form of a trough around Pakistan has also moved ahead. Due to which the clouds have dispersed due to less moisture from the atmosphere.
