Siddharthnagar: Custom Superintendent Pramod Tiwari, posted at the Custom Office at Kakarhwa Naka, was caught taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 by the Anti Corruption Branch of CBI Lucknow on Wednesday. After interrogating the Custom Superintendent, the team also searched his residence and then left for Lucknow with him.

Mohammad Islam, a chicken trader resident of Thothri Bazaar of Lotan police station area, had complained to the anti-corruption branch of CBI in Lucknow that Custom Superintendent Kakarhwa Pramod Tiwari was demanding a bribe of Rs 15,000 from him. He works as a chicken supplier. Its team first conducted a preliminary investigation and laid a trap when the matter was found to be true. On Wednesday, a 12-member team of anti-corruption branch reached Kakarhwa.

As soon as the chicken businessman gave a bribe of Rs 15,000 to the Custom Superintendent, he was caught red-handed. After continuous interrogation for about two hours in the customs office, she took Custom Superintendent Pramod Tiwari first to her residence and then with her to Lucknow. The team that came from Lucknow has refused to give any information.
