Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, along with his cabinet, has accepted resignation. The Governor approved the resignation, instructing Baghel to handle responsibilities until the formation of a new government. Alongside the Chief Minister, all his advisors submitted resignations, acknowledged by the state administration. Two notifications, one from the Raj Bhavan and the other from the General Administration Department (GAD), confirmed the resignations of Baghel and his cabinet members. Effective December 1, the government terminated their services, retracting all official privileges.

The resignations include political advisor Vinod Verma, rural development advisor Pradeep Sharma, parliamentary advisor Rajesh Tiwari, and media advisor Ruchir Garg. All, in concordance with election results, tendered their resignations. The Chief Secretary has forwarded the matter to the GAD for further action. The GAD has instructed officers residing in the Officers’ Colony to vacate their accommodations. November salaries and allowances have been disbursed to all concerned.

Chief Minister Baghel, his cabinet, and advisors from various boards and committees are stepping down. In this sequence, Gramodyog Board Chairman Rajendra Tiwari has submitted his resignation to the departmental secretary. Similarly, Kanhaiya Agrawal, a member of the Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA), has resigned from his position. Additionally, Vinod Tiwari, a member of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board, has relinquished his role, handing over the resignation to the Chief Secretary.

The Chief Minister’s decision to resign, followed by the collective exit of advisors and committee members, marks a significant shift in the state’s political landscape. As the General Administration Department takes charge of processing these resignations, the government braces for the formation of a new administration in Chhattisgarh.
