A young woman attending her younger sister’s wedding in Shri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, faced the unfortunate incident of having her valuable gold jewelry, worth lakhs, stolen. The complaint was filed at the local police station based on a report provided by the girl’s father, Manoj Nagpal, residing in Shankar Colony.

According to property dealer Manoj Nagpal (57), his daughter’s wedding took place on November 10. His elder daughter, Hina Nagpal (wife of Shubham Chuchra), arrived from Jaipur to their home on November 5 via a private bus. She had placed 10-12 tolas of gold jewelry, including two bangles and a necklace set, in a box inside her bag. Hina had taken out other items from the bag two or three times, but she did not open the box at that time. When she opened the box on November 7 to wear the jewelry for a wedding function, she discovered that the valuables were missing.

Despite extensive inquiries within the family and with relatives and household staff, no information about the missing jewelry surfaced. The concerned family members and other individuals who attended the wedding were questioned, but the whereabouts of the stolen items remained unknown. Amidst the busy wedding festivities, several days passed without any clue about the missing valuables.

Eventually, after the passage of several days, Manoj Nagpal decided to report the incident to the police. The complaint was lodged at the local police station, and an investigation has been initiated against an unknown person. In the course of the investigation, the police questioned the bus driver and fellow passengers who traveled with Hina from Jaipur to Shri Ganganagar.

Hina returned to Jaipur a few days after the wedding, and upon realizing the theft, her father decided to file a formal complaint. Now, with the case officially registered, Manoj Nagpal has returned to Jaipur to provide his statement to the police. The investigation continues to determine the identity of the thief and recover the stolen jewelry.
