Sunday’s Hindi occupancy for “Tejas” was 8.37 percent, slightly higher than Friday, but the film struggled to improve its numbers throughout the weekend. It opened with ₹1.25 crore and saw only about 4 percent growth on Saturday, with Sunday’s figure remaining the same as the opening day.
Directed by Sarvesh Mewara, “Tejas” tells the extraordinary story of Tejas Gill, an Air Force pilot, showcasing the dedicated efforts of Indian Air Force pilots in defending the nation against various challenges. The film’s release was met with mixed reviews.
In contrast, Thalapathy Vijay’s “Leo” has been on a phenomenal run in theaters since its release ten days ago. Despite mixed reviews, the action thriller has been breaking box office records. After 11 days, “Leo” has crossed the ₹300-crore mark in India. While the film’s makers, Seven Screen Studios, have yet to confirm if it has surpassed ₹500 crore worldwide, its weekend collections are on an upward trajectory. Early estimates suggest that on October 29, “Leo” earned ₹16.50 crore net in India, with expectations of a decrease during the weekdays.
The film’s total collection now stands at ₹303.40 crore in India over 11 days. On October 29, the film recorded an occupancy rate of 51.77 percent, and the third week will be crucial in determining the film’s continued success at the box office. “Leo” continues to defy expectations and is proving to be a significant box office hit.
