Kanker: Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to address rallies in Kanker, Rajnandgaon, and Bhanupratapur on October 28. He will later address in Kawardha on October 29. The Congress has fielded Shankar Dhriv from the Kanker sear which is reserved for Scheduled Tribes, it has fielded Girish Devangan from Rajnandgaon and Savitri Mandavi from the reserved constituency of Bhanupratapur.

“Jannayak Shri Rahul Gandhi ji will address a huge public meeting in Kanker and Kondagaon districts of Chhattisgarh tomorrow. To listen to him connect with us on our social media handles”, notified Congress on platform X.

Earlier in September 2023, the Congress President, graced Chhattisgarh with his presence twice in a month. Upon his arrival in Raipur, he was warmly received by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at the airport. Subsequent to deliberations with local leaders at the Mayfair Resort, Rahul embarked on a journey to Bilaspur by car. Accompanying him on this excursion is a convoy of several prominent leaders.

During his visit in September in Bilaspur, Rahul Gandhi launched the Housing Justice Scheme, a program of paramount importance that is set to take place in Takhatpur. This division holds particular significance, boasting the highest number of 25 assembly seats within the state. As a result, political attention is firmly fixed on this region. Comprising a total of eight districts and 25 assembly seats, the Congress triumphed in 14 seats in the 2018 elections, while the BJP secured 15 seats, seven of which were within the Bilaspur division. The BSP and the Jogi Congress collectively captured four seats, with the latter securing two.
