Raipur: Controversy has erupted in Chhattisgarh’s landscape due, to a video allegedly showing Congress MLA Ramkumar Yadav seated amidst stacks of cash. The opposition BJP has seized this opportunity to target the party raising questions about the matter.
In the video clip, Yadav can be seen sitting on a sofa on a bed piled up with bundles of cash. The identities of the individuals in the room have not been confirmed yet. The state BJP unit has accused the Congress MLA of involvement in activities intensifying the tension.
The BJP wasted no time. Immediately demanded answers from Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, urging him to address this controversy. State BJP General Secretary O.P. Choudhary shared the video on media. Alleged that “the Congress has transformed Chhattisgarh into a breeding ground for corruption.” Choudhary further insisted on conducting an investigation by the CBI.
During a press conference, Choudhary emphasized that CM Baghel must acknowledge the video’s authenticity and take action against the implicated MLA. He also claimed a nexus exists between Congress leaders and influential individuals involved in misappropriating funds in Chhattisgarh over the past five years.
Choudhary’s direct question was whether “CM Baghel will display courage by entrusting this case to CBI for an investigation?” In light of the video Congress MLA Ramkumar Yadav strongly refuted any connection to the bundles of cash shown in the footage. Yadav urged those who shared the video on media to step forward and disclose the truth.
