Raipur: A wave of relief blew up in Chhattisgarh as the recovery rate rose to 78.9% and the petition of oxygen was passed. On Sunday, the Central Government announced the establishment of 14 PSA Medical Oxygen Plants in 14 districts of the state. This development came after the PM announced the installation of 551 medial oxygen plants across the country under the PM- Care Fund.

These plants will be set up in Bastar, Bijapur, Bilaspur, Dantewada, Dhamtari, Durg, Jashpur, Kanker, Korba, Korea, Mahasamund, Raigad, Raipur, and Rajnandgaon district. According to PM Modi, these plants will furnish the demands of the states on a large scale. The Government hospitals at the district headquarters are identified as the primary establishment zones.  The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will guide the district heads through the procurement process.

Earlier a sum of Rs 201.58 crores has been released for 162 PSA Medical Oxygen plants across the country.
