Nasik: A major report stated that people from sixty villages in Trimbakeshwar Tehsil of Nashik district are spending their days without electricity. For the last 8-10 days, there is no electricity in the region and so the people of the villages are facing a lot of difficulties.

Sanjay Gangode, the sarpanch of Belgaodaga village said, “For the last 8-10 days, there is no electricity in sixty villages of this region. The villagers are facing a lot of problems. Wild animals attack the villagers due to the heavy darkness of the night. We request the administration to restore electricity”.

The villages are mainly located amid the dense hilly forests. Due to the darkness, the villagers remain alerted every day. Wild animals like panthers enter into the human habitat and harm them. Another villager said, “The reason behind the power cut is that the district council did not pay the electricity bill. As it is a forest area, the chances of wild animals attacking the villagers in the dark are high”.

On one hand, the people of Nashik are fighting the battle with the deadly virus and on the other hand, the people of sixty villages are spending their days without electricity. On Tuesday, Nashik reported 4,619 new Covid cases along with 25 deaths.
