Chhattisgarh: Raigarh Collector Bhim Singh at a meeting of the District Level Consultative Committee and Review Committee cited new regulations for loans. His statements imposed immediate approval of sanction belonging to Najul land. Strict actions were issued against the bank officer delaying the process.

Collector Singh directed all bank officials to discharge their responsibilities with all seriousness. He said, “the government is auctioning the Najul land and giving lease to the concerned landowner. After the land auction, the landowner will have to pay the price of the land immediately. If the person wants to take a loan from the bank to buy that land, the concerned bank officers should immediately sanction their loan.”

He also reviewed the deposit credit ratio by quarterly December 2020, bank-wise under priority sector, and annual credit plan year 2020-21. Speaking on the occasion, he discussed in detail the training, progress, and grant provided by the State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute, bank-wise information of Kisan credit card and inclusion of animal husbandry and fisheries under Kisan Credit Card KCC scheme and crop insurance scheme.

Campaign to create KCC

Citing the eligible beneficiaries in the agriculture sector to provide agricultural credit for KCC and other agricultural-related work, he issued an order to all bank officials to launch a campaign to create farmers’ KCC cards under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. He expressed displeasure against banks that failed to reduce the percentage of direct agricultural credit. In the wake of the failure to achieve targets issued by the Central bank and Chhattisgarh Gramin Bank, the officials responsible will be subjected to an enquiry.
