Chhattisgarh: Covid guidelines for Holi proposed; 200 Police Officials will Be Deployed

Raipur: The district administration will issue a guideline on the Holi festival today (21 March).  It is conjectured that Section 144 might be imposed in Raipur during the festival amid the resurgence. 

In the wake of Holi amid the resurgence, the collector has directed the Police officials to take strict actions against those who breach COVID rules.  The newly released guideline will prevent the involvement of the elderly and children at the Holi festival.

The mass gatherings will be charged against laws. Trade Vendors will have to obey COVID norms accurately. About 200 police personnel will be deployed from Holika Dehan to Rang. Holika Dehan will be restricted beyond 10 pm.

In a press meet with Lalluram, collector Dr S Bharathidasan declared austere Corona guidelines will be implemented and laxation will not be tolerated.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh’s COVID-19 tally mounted to 3,24,153 on Sunday as 1,000 people tested positive for the infection.
