New Delhi: The worries for the outbreak rise as the nation registers 39,687 infections in the past 24 hours. The Union Health ministry expressed concern over the prevalence of the second wave in the country due to violation of safety norms. The new infection has taken the tally of confirmed cases to 1,15,13,989. 2,68,363 active cases have been recorded.
The recovery rates continue to fall, while the mortality rates stay stagnant. However, MoHFW has noted 20,356 recuperations and 156 deaths across the country. The death toll is now at over 1.59 lakh while over 1.10 crore people have recovered.
