New Delhi: On Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare updated its overall case count of the nationwide case tally, according to which, the total number of people who were tested positive with SARS-CoV-2 across the states and union territories is 12,916.

Including the latest case count, India’s total caseload since the beginning of the pandemic has surged to 10,791,123. The number of active cases in India currently stands at 1,52,360.

Also, the health ministry ran a nationwide survey on the recovery rate. As per the survey, a total of 17,808 people have recovered from the viral disease. With this, the overall number of recovery of the COVID-19 affected people has reached 10,479,508.

On the other hand, 107 people across the states and the UTs have died of the viral disease in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 1,54,742, which is, however, significantly lower than the other countries amidst the global pandemic.
