New Delhi: The temperature in the national capital on Wednesday morning has recorded to have fallen vastly, along with the air quality. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperatures at Safdarjung and Palam areas in Delhi were recorded to be around 3.2 degrees Celsius and 4.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
On the other hand, the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting Research (SAFAR) on Wednesday morning reported the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi a straight 301, which is considered to be of ‘very poor’ category. Dense fog in several areas of the national capital has brought in low visibility in most of the areas. On account of this, the Indira Gandhi International Airport authority has initiated essential procedures.
“Low visibility procedures are in progress at Delhi Airport. All flight operations are currently normal. for further assistance, please get in touch with the airline concerned. Any inconvenience is deeply regretted”, tweeted the Delhi airport authority on their official Twitter page.

Notably, a day ago, the India Meteorological Department had predicted and announced a probable cold wave condition in several parts around northern India, including Delhi, Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana, at least for the rest of this week.
