Raipur: As many as 68 fresh cases of novel coronavirus emerged from Chhattisgarh on Saturday, with this the total tally rose to 3133 in the state.
Among the fresh 68 cases detected,27 reported from Raipur, Nine from Behemetara, 8 from Narayanpur, Seven from Janjgir-Champa, 5 from Bilaspur, 3 each from Raigarh & Dantewada, 2 each from Sarguja, Koriya and Jagdalpur.
Besides, 112 patients were discharged following their recovery on Saturday. With this, the total recovered patient in Chhattisgarh has surged to 2526. The recovery rate in the state has rose to 80.6 percent which is more than that of Nation.
The numbers of active cases in Chhattisgarh state stands at 593 while the death toll in the state has now reached to 14.
At least 1,79,782 people have been tested for the infection till date.
All 28 districts have reported atleast 2 case of coronavirus. Chhattisgarh’s Capital ‘Raipur‘ had the highest number of Covid-19 cases at 404 confirmed infections, followed by Korba(308), Rajnandgaon(298), Janjgir-Champa(249), Balodabazar(245) and so on.
Meanwhile, In India, there are now more than 6,48,000 cases, of which atleast 3,94,000 patients have made a recovery. Active cases stand at 1,77,451. 18,315 people have succumbed to the infection.
