Raipur– Security forces have conducted a raid on a Maoist camp situated in the Naxal-affected region. The camp, located in the dense forests of Isulnar, was demolished by the soldiers. An incident unfolded wherein the security forces encountered the Naxalites, leading to their successful evasion. Reports indicate that 3 to 4 Naxals may have been killed during the confrontation. Additionally, a significant amount of explosive materials has been seized.

Upon receiving intelligence about the presence of armed Maoists, including high-ranking individuals such as Commander Vella Modiyam of Company No. 50, Division Military In-charge Rahul Telam, Gangalur AC Secretary Dinesh Modiyam, DVCM Bhaskar, and ACM Vargish, security forces initiated a joint operation in the Isulnar forests. The operation involved the cooperation of the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Special Task Force (STF), and Cobra 210. Following a brief exchange of fire, the Naxals fled the scene. However, the soldiers discovered tiffin bombs, cardex wire, fuse wire, detonators, and gelatin at the site. The police stated that 3 to 4 Naxals were killed or injured during the encounter.

This operation showcases the ongoing efforts of security forces to combat Naxalism and restore peace in the affected areas. The recovery of explosive materials highlights the potential harm the Naxalites could have caused.
