CG-TELANGANA: A big naxal attack was averted in Chhattisgarh as the Telangana police acted swiftly on the tip off received. As per sources, ten naxals gearing up for a massive attack in CG were detained on Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. A hige cache of ammunition was also seized.
The Bhadradi Kottagudem police on receiving inputs immediately mobilized a team of CRPF’s 141st Battalion jawans launching a search operations in the areas of Mulakanapalli and Dumugudem mandals where the Naxals were said to be hiding.
At least 10 maoists overseeing the preparations were arrested. During the search operation, about 90 bundles of cordex wire, 500 detonators and other explosive items were recovered from a tractor that belonged to them. Apart from the tractor, a bolero vehicle and two motorcycles were also seized from their possession.
Out of the 10 arrested, 5 are said to be residents of Awapalli area of Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh and the rest from Telangana.
