BHOPAL: Amidst the chaos around the controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’, MP CM Chauhan on Sunday asserted that he ” will not allow MP to become Kerala Story. The remarks come days after the state administration exempted the film from taxes giving it tax-free status.

Addressing the press conference, the MP stalwart also spoke at length about the improved law and order situation in the state highlighting the strict actions taken against SMIs network, Dacoits, and Naxalism.

He further informed that “6 terrorists were arrested by Telangana police from Hyderabad and a big network was exposed. Among them was a person from Bhopal who was converted from Hindu. All these strings are linked to Hizb-ut-Tahrir.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan May 6 announced to give tax-free status to The Kerala Story’ in the state, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi credited the movie for bringing out terror conspiracies and used it to attack the Congress during a rally in Karnataka. “We have already made a law against religious conversion in Madhya Pradesh. Since this film creates awareness, everyone should watch this film. Parents, children and daughters should watch it. That’s why the Madhya Pradesh government is giving tax-free status to the movie The Kerala Story,” Chouhan said.

‘The Kerala Story’, directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. This means the film can be watched by “Adults Only.”
