Bhopal: The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has made a remarkable announcement at the Gau Raksha Sammelan. He said the government would purchase cow dung from farmers and hold an annual Gau Rakshak Sammelan. This is a significant move towards promoting and protecting the sacred animal.
To further strengthen their commitment towards cow protection, the CM flagged off 406 animal ambulances for all the development blocks. The program commenced with a beautiful ceremony where the CM worshipped the cow and welcomed cow servants by showering flowers.
“Cow is the one who gives the desired fruit, no one is better than cow. I bow down to mother cow, the mother of the whole world”, tweeted Shivraj Singh Chouhan with the glimpses of the sammelan.
In addition, Shivraj Sing h Chouhan also announced that a new law would be made to prevent the illegal transportation of cows for slaughter. Any vehicle caught violating this law would be confiscated. To ensure efficient management of Gaushalas and resolve problems, an officer of the level of Additional Collector will be deputed for each district.
The Cow Promotion Board Vice President Akhileshwaranand Giri, State President VD Sharma, BJP State Incharge Murlidhar Rao, MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh, and Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang were present at the program. This remarkable step towards cow protection will bring positive change in society.
