New Delhi: The High Court today sought response of the Enforcement Directorate on a plea filed by former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia seeking bail in money laundering case. Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma issued a notice to the ED on the regular bail plea and interim bail application of the senior AAP leader.

The court has now given one week to ED to file its response on the bail plea and posted the matter for hearing on May 11.

Earlier on Wednesday, the court had sought the central agency CBI response on Sisodia’s interim bail application for six weeks release to look after his ailing wife. Senior advocate Siddharth Aggarwal, representing Sisodia, told the court that the AAP leaders wife has been hospitalised. He has submitted the report about the illness from the doctor who has been treating Sisodia’s wife since 20 years.

Earlier, Sisodia has said in court that he was neither flight risk nor the CBI has found anything incriminating against him in its probe into the alleged irregularities related to the now-scrapped 2021 Delhi Excise Policy. The CBI’s lawyer has told the court that they may not be able to file a reply within a day.
